Rewarded with two sidefilling jams between balearic bliss and new age relaxation I left that Augsburg record store with a moronic smile many moons ago. It stood the test of time extremely well! My fave is Let Me Reach Your Island that closes the album and shows the horizon. Wonderful cover picture by Ed van der Elsken that always reminds me of the most touching compliment I ever got for DJing. I played records at a wedding in the late 90s or early 2000s. I usually don't do that, but in this case it was one for one of my dearest art history teachers - the magnificent Michael Glasmeier. Late that night the widow of Ed van der Elsken, who attended the wedding came up to me and thanked me for the music. It made her dance for the first time since her husband died.

"Ghosts of Industrial Sunday" is a short film by Maria Assunta Karini and Francesco Paolo Paladino, whose music were composed by Simon Fisher Turner (Deux Filles, Jeremy's Secret, The King Of Luxemburg, SFT). This release consists of a video DVD, which contains the film, and a audio CD that features the original soundtrack and other compositions inspired by this project that Turner created on purpose; they are accompanied by an oversize 20 pages booklet that offers some images taken from the film and delves more into the concept behind it.

The music created by Turner as a soundtrack to the film expresses a delicate tranquillity through notes of piano which are just mottled by the electronic elements in the background, while an unspoken sense of drama hovers in the air and the circular motion of the composition gradually absorbs the listener.

Here's the first solo album of Denmark's keyboard master Kenneth Knudsen. He played the synths in Secret Oyster, Coronarias Dans and Entrance before starting to do his own thing. After recording this album he founded the group Anima.

The title track of this LP is a 9 and a half minute long solo piano piece. Really amazing imho. But check out also the the second soundclip with the noodly synth prog tunes Önde Age and Week-End Dear featuring Kasper Winding on drums.
